Athletics

The Athletics season is a mixed up of juniors and senior competitions. The Authority Athletes are preparing to compete in the various competitions which mainly start from the first week of January. At the moment the Authority marathon team have been competing for various honors.

MEN

The Authority Godwin Adukpo made the country proud in the 2014 Mali Marathon by winning the bronze medal in the Africa challenge.

The Authority long distance Athletes have participated in several marathons in and out of the country with Godwin Adukpo being the main attention. Godwin, the (4) times Milo marathon champion made the country proud by winning the ultimate golden trophy in the 2013 Benin 21.1km marathon which was competed by 7721 athletes from 22 countries.  

Godwin also won the 2013 Independence day 10km marathon in Sunyani and also took the

third position in the 2013 Homowo marathon in the month of March and August respectively.

 

LADIES

Ladies marathon without the Authority’s Millicent Boadi is not a complete story. Millicent nick named as the Queen of Marathon in Ghana (Maame Milli) have won the Milo marathon on (6) six times consecutively.

Millicent has started the 2013 season by winning the Homowo marathon in Accra after going on one year maternity leave.

 She is really looking forward to defend her SESSA gold medal in the marathon, 5000m and 10,000m respectively.
